These fluffy pancakes celebrate simple, honest ingredients. Made with rich organic butter, fresh organic milk, and golden organic eggs, they have a natural warmth and flavour you can really taste. When you choose the best organic dairy, even an everyday breakfast becomes something special.
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the self-raising flour, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl or jug, whisk the milk and egg, and slowly add the melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and whisk until you have a smooth batter.
- Heat a frying pan over a medium-high heat (adjust as needed) and add a small amount of Calon Wen’s Unsalted butter to the pan.
- Once melted, pour the batter into the pan. The pancakes will rise, so don’t make them too big at this stage
- Wait until the batter on top of the pancakes begins to bubble and flip using a spatula. Cook for another 45 seconds on the other side
- Repeat until you use all of the batter.
- Serve with toppings of your choice. (We recommend an extra dollop of Calon Wen’s unsalted butter and a drizzle of organic maple syrup)
